Ceremony venue: The venue was Gip's Restaurant, Russell Street Toowoomba. The food and the surroundings were just perfect.
What made you choose the venue: This venue was chosen as we had enjoyed many nights there previously and the food, atmosphere and service was impeccable. The surrounds were perfect for the garden wedding we had planned and we knew that the reception would be fabulous in the James Taylor room.
Photographer: The photographers we chose stood out above all others for us. They had previously been the photographers for Tim and Emma Saal's wedding (the brother of the bride) and the photos and videos were just perfect. Belinda and Daniel were bridesmaid and groomsmen at Tim and Em's wedding in 2007 and at the time Actions Studios staff had commented on our love and the photos we shared together. After working with the amazing staff at action studio's and seeing their work, (and consideration of price!) there was no question for us as to who we would choose for our wedding photographers and videographers. We were only left to be pleasantly surprised - the end result was even better than imagined.

Celebrant: This decison was of no question. Jenn Stephens was the celebrant of choice. Daniel's family had very close ties to Jenn for many years and since meeting Belinda in 2002 there was a close friendship formed. Jenn Stephens is a marriage celebrant in Gatton, QLD and had performed many important occassions witnessed by Daniel and Belinda such as weddings and naming ceremonies. On every ocassion Jenn was so professional and warmly welcomed by the people attending the occassions. Jenn's committment to the role and professionalism was felt by all and she made the ceremony perfect, just how we wanted it.

Wedding Rings: Daniel had Belinda's engagement ring specially made by Hogan's Jewelers in Toowooma. It was a white gold ring with a princess cut diamond and five channel set diamonds on each side. This was the perfect ring for Belinda that Daniel chose himself. As a result, the wedding rinds were hand made by Hogan's Jewelers in Ruthven Street Toowoomba. Belinda's wedding band was matched to her engagement ring with white gold and a band of diamonds to match the engagement ring, and Daniel chose a solid gold wedding band.
Bridal Gown: The gown was initially planned to be made in the Darling Downs area, however, when a last minute decison was made for the couple to move to Far North Queensland due to work the plans were changed. A dress maker was located due to popular recomendation in Tolga on the Atheron Tablelands. Irene Costa made the gown with little notice and plannig and was extremely flexible and supportive during the process. Irene was adaptive and produced amazing results with lots of external complications.
Bridal Shoes: The shoes were reseached long and hard with limtied options. The final choice came from Brisbane City MYERS. They were Allan Pinkas shoes covered in white silk with Swarkovski crystals, and were the most comfy shoes I have worn over a whole afternoon and night on my feet.
Bridal Accessories: My, and my bridesmaid's jewellery and hair piece were made by the daughter of my dress maker, Lorene. She designed them with the bride and went to extra efforts to match the colours and styles. Lorene was great to work with and was extrememly helpful.
Men's Suits: Groom's suit was bought at MYER in Brisbande City. The groomsmen bought their suits from Suits on Q in the Queen Street mall, Brisbane.
Hair Stylist: Di from Di's Hair Design at Mt Tamborine was our hair stylist. Di also did the hair for my sister-in-law and her bridesmaids previously, so after Di did my hair as a bridesmaid I knew she was perfect for our wedding. Di's so easy to work with and can work wonders with all types of hair!
Make up: Suellen from Bailey Allure, mobile makeup design beauty coordination at Mount Tamborine did all our makeup. Suellen did the makeup when I was a bridesmaid at my brother's wedding and I was so impressed that there was no question about who I would have to do the makeup at my wedding. There was no trial or pre-planning required for any of us as Suellen has the skill to match any makeup preference to any person.
Florist: Rathford and Siebur on Ruthven Street in Toowoomba were our florists. They were the florist at the wedding of the Bride's parents in 1979.
Cake: The cake was a three tier cake. The bottom tier, chocolate mud cake, middle tier caramel mud and the top tier white mud cake.
Country Confectionary and Cakes at Whyalla Shopping Centre in Wilsonton Toowoomba made the cake and it was decorated with green and silver ribbon and white lillies.
Entertainment: Muzic 4 U. Not recomended.
Transport: The bride, father of the bride, flower girl and bridesmaids were transported to the wedding by Golden West Limosines. Golden West Limo's then transported the bride and groom for photos to Picnic Point and around Toowoomba.
Decorations: All of the decorations were made by the bride, her mum (Roby) and the bride's sister's in law (Laura, Amanda and Emma). Gip's Restaurant then placed the decorations and set up the reception as requested.
Videographer: Action Studios was our videographer as well as our photographer. As per the photographer statements, Action Studios was amazing and have proven how invaluable they and their sevices are at two weddings within our family. The memories and moments they captured could never have been recored without their expertise. We have found this so important as the day went so fast its so great to have it all captured for us to look back on and enjoy. Each time we watch the DVD's we see somthing we had not seen last time
Invitations: The invitations were made by the bride and groom with papers from Spotcolour, Stephen Streen Toowoomba.
Bomboniere: Guests were given cheese knives that stated on the handle "spread the love" and had ribbons tied around them to match the theme.
Hen's & Buck's Night: The buck's night was held by the father of the groom at his home and continued on into the next day.
The hen's night was planned by the bridesmaids, starting with Italian dinner and kicking on at the Regatta where the bride and groom spent their early courting days!
Honeymoon: Daniel and Belinda spent just over 2 weeks in Fiji at the Warwick Spa and Resort with an all inclusive package including drinks, food, entertainment and accomodation. It was so fabulous and we're planning a return trip as soon as possible.
Special Memory: After the ceremony and prior to the reception the bride and groom went for photos on our own without the bridal party or any other friends/family. This was a very special time for us to have some time 'alone' and enjoy being newlyweds. We were able to play around with the photos and have some quiet moments to ourselves before returning for the party!
Funniest Moment on the day?: The bride and groom stayed the wedding night in the heritage listed house where the bride and bridesmaids got ready prior to the wedding. As there were no pockets in my wedding dress I carefully left a floor to ceiling window open so we could get back in after the reception without me having to carry and keep track of a key. The owner of the house went around after we left to tidy up and locked the window - locking us out. When we returned after the reception which was after midnight, we had no phones and nothing with us, so the groom had to run back to the reception venue and take a butter knife to break into our room. We kept the knife as a keepsake of the hilarities!
Special Thanks to and why?: Special thanks to our parents for all of their support and assistance. Also, to our amazing bridal party who were mostly family and all the people who traveled large distances to attend.
Advice for brides to be: Make the most of it, from engagement to wedding and savour every second as it all goes too fast.
Other: Our flower girl was so very cute, and she did an amazing job!!
We also loved having parasols as they were great for a garden wedding and were really great for photos. They make a good keepsake as well.
